This AI Use & Governance Disclosure explains how Black Manta Data Analytics (“the Firm”) designs, deploys, and governs artificial intelligence (“AI”) and machine learning systems in the course of providing analytics and technology services. The purpose of this disclosure is to provide transparent, professional guidance regarding the role of AI, the controls applied to its use, and the limitations inherent in AI-enabled systems.
This disclosure applies to website visitors, prospective clients, and clients who engage the Firm’s services. It is informational in nature and does not replace or modify any executed agreement, including master service agreements, statements of work, or data protection addenda.
For the purposes of this disclosure, AI refers to software systems and analytical models that perform tasks such as pattern recognition, classification, prediction, recommendation, natural language processing, automation, or decision support based on data inputs. AI may be used as part of data analytics, reporting, workflow automation, or custom software solutions.
AI systems used by the Firm are intended to augment analysis and operational processes. They are not autonomous decision-makers and are not designed to replace human judgment.
The Firm may apply AI across services such as data engineering, business intelligence, data science, machine learning development, AI consulting, and software engineering. AI may be used to analyze large datasets, generate insights, identify trends, support forecasting, automate repetitive tasks, or assist with content or data processing.
AI use is limited to the scope defined in the applicable client engagement. The Firm does not deploy AI systems beyond agreed purposes or without client awareness as defined by contractual terms.
The Firm’s approach to AI governance is guided by principles of transparency, accountability, and proportionality. AI systems are selected and implemented based on their suitability for the defined business problem, the nature of the data involved, and the operational context in which they are used.
Governance measures are designed to manage risk, support responsible use, and ensure that AI outputs remain subject to human oversight.
All AI outputs produced by the Firm are informational and require human review prior to use. Clients retain responsibility for evaluating outputs, interpreting results, and determining whether and how to act on AI-assisted insights.
The Firm does not authorize AI systems to make binding decisions on behalf of clients. AI is used to support analysis and operational workflows, not to replace human decision-making.
AI systems are subject to inherent limitations. Outputs depend on the quality, completeness, and relevance of input data, as well as modeling assumptions and system configurations. AI systems may reflect biases present in data, may not account for all contextual factors, and may produce inaccurate or incomplete results in certain circumstances.
Predictive or forward-looking outputs generated by AI are estimates based on historical or available data and do not constitute guarantees of future outcomes.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that data provided for AI-enabled services has been lawfully collected and may be processed for the intended purposes. Clients remain responsible for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing their data and AI use.
Clients are also responsible for validating AI outputs, monitoring their use within business operations, and ensuring that decisions informed by AI align with their legal, ethical, and operational requirements.
Data used in AI systems is processed solely for purposes defined in the applicable engagement. The Firm applies reasonable safeguards to protect data used in AI development, testing, and deployment, consistent with its information security and data protection practices.
The Firm does not use client data to train generalized AI models for unrelated purposes unless expressly agreed in writing.
The Firm may use third-party AI platforms, libraries, or services as part of delivering AI-enabled solutions. These tools operate under their own terms, controls, and limitations.
The use of third-party AI tools does not transfer responsibility for data governance, compliance, or decision-making from the client to the Firm.
The Firm makes no representations or warranties regarding specific outcomes, performance improvements, or business results arising from AI use. AI-enabled outputs are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, medical, financial, tax, or regulatory advice.
AI technologies and governance practices evolve over time. The Firm may update its AI use and governance practices to reflect changes in technology, services, or risk considerations. The most current version of this disclosure published on the Firm’s website applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This disclosure is intended for general commercial use and informational purposes only. Applicability and interpretation may vary by jurisdiction. Clients are responsible for determining how applicable laws and regulations apply to their use of AI-enabled services.
